Take a good look at your co-workers. Would you be friends with these people outside of work?
If you were picking teams for kickball based strictly on how well you get along with the potential teammates would you pick ANY of these people? Now, look at your workplace and the work you do.
-> Do you love it? Do you like it? Does it suck? How bad does it suck?
-> If you love your career keep reading for the sake of a friend.
-> We all know someone that would rather be doing something else.
-> If your job sucks, and you would rather be doing another kind of work, (with different people, in another city, state or even country) this post is for YOU!
What if there is someone miserably holding space at a job that is perfectly suited to your aspirations and goals? Is there someone in your spot. Are you waiting for a promotion that you will only get if someone dies? Literally? That is a bummer of a plan. Are you holding on to a job that makes you miserable and pays you just barely enough to keep you? Could this job be better suited to someone else? Is someone waiting for your job to be the death of you so they can take your spot? What a horrible way to live.
Have you worked really hard to get to where you are and realize that it is not really as great as you thought it would be. Maybe there were pay cuts or downsizing has caused the job to involve more time, energy and skill for less pay than it used to.
Does your boss seem to pay you in compliments but not money? Everyone knows that flattery does not pay the bills. Are you forced to have meaningless conversations that just distract you from your work?
Are you subjected to workplace gossip and is the gossip tolerated by management, or maybe management is where the gossip is planted. Does management play favorites to the super social suck up that do the least poorest quality work? As you evaluate your work life and recognize how bad it sucks, as I so eloquently put it, what are some of the situations offending you?
I was delirious and so exhausted I could hardly figure out a plan to get out.
I was exhausted, working 7pm to 7am 12 consecutive hour long midnight shifts with no meal break. We ate our desks in between 911 calls and radio traffic. I don’t know what I was thinking,

Do you work with people that lack consideration for others? What about poor hygiene does the guy next to you smell like a dog that needs a bath? Do you have a food thief that steals food out of the employee fridge?

I was shopping in Palm Beach one day and saw this patch in a Tervis Tumbler. This became my dream, my mission and my reality.
You do not need to profess your loyalty to an employer that can lay you off at a moments notice. I worked for the largest bank in the US for 8 years. One Friday, out of the blue, I was told that my specialty office was being downsized and I was welcome to be a teller starting Monday.
I worked as a teller for many years, I put in my time, worked hard for my promotion, and went above and beyond what was required. This decision was not made at the last minute by the bank, they knew months in advance yet did not extend the courtesy of sharing this information. Having just turned down a better opportunity with another bank that head hunted me, this poor timing and lack of consideration really stung.
If you think your job is secure, think again.

-> K-Mart is closing 108 more stores (clark.com)
-> Sears is closing 150 stores (Business Insider)
-> RadioShack closing additional 187 stores (Headline USA Today)
-> Staples to close 70 stores to recover from poor sales (NY Daily News)
Now consider this:
-> The largest transportation provider is Uber and they don’t own a single car
-> The largest hotel accommodation company is Airbnb and they don’t own a hotel.
-> Amazon is the nation’s largest retailer, if you thought it was WalMart, not anymore.
As a society we are finally embracing E-Commerce. You can come along or be left behind. In this business model we work when where and with whom we choose. We lock arms with like minded people and support one another because we know there IS enough for everyone.
On your Journey, take advice from successful people. People that want to see you succeed, people that want to help you reach your goals.Unsuccessful people are the only people that have ever told me that what I was doing is not possible. You wouldn’t trust a dentist if he/she had bad teeth. Why would you take business advice from a pauper.
Of all of my friends that have made great financial success for themselves, almost all of them have done so in network marketing. I invite you to take a look. My network marketing friends are teaching their children about business, money, freedom, consistency and respect. (I could go on) These people travel all over the world and take their kids with them. One of my friends has taken his child to more countries in the world than any other child his age has seen. Traveling teaches us so much more than sitting in a classroom ever could.
