…But things were not always so great…
For 13 years I worked the midnight shift as 911 dispatcher for the fire department. Being nocturnal, having an emotionally stressful job and being surrounded by people that were more miserable than happy – yes I know one would think that saving lives has you surrounded by positive and happy people, however sadly that is not true for my old dispatch center. Rather the opposite.
…Anyway…
A friend of mine introduced me to a Network Marketing company called MonaVie in 2011. (Note: MonaVie sold in 2015 to Jeunesse)
… I know what you are thinking…
“Oh great – here comes the part where she tells me how she bought her new Mercedes, moved to a nicer house met her fashion model husband and made thousands each month in MonaVie and Network Marketing.”
… Nope sorry to disappoint…
What I gained in those years was something money could have possibly not bought me. I attended seminars and conferences, people shared their stories (yes some did tell the Mercedes and how they made a fortune story) – however for the most part the community I found got me dreaming, was supportive and encouraging.
Motivational speakers (hired by the Monavie / Vasayo founder team) took the stage and offered life changing viewpoints. I felt empowered to make my life better. I realized that I did not have to stay in my old job and be my old self. I could do anything I wanted.
