Looking for a sustainable easy to assemble tabletop arrangement that looks classy?
Consider this for a Wedding, Baby shower, Birthday Party, Anniversary or Just because.
To recreate this look you will need:
- SEA GLASS
- BEACH SAND
- WATER LETTUCE (The botanical name is pistia)
- GLASS VASE
- FRESH WATER
Tips for the Sand:
When it comes to sand select a texture that suits your needs. The sand in the water or near the shorebreak may have a different texture than on other parts of the beach. Ignore this tip if you are buying your sand in the arts and crafts store : )
Tips for the Vase:
If you live in the right area you can create this look for only the price of the vase. Consider looking for cheap vases at store that sells used items. You can get vases for next to nothing.
Tips for the Water Lettuce:
If using water lettuce and sea sand you will want to wash the salt off the sand. The water lettuce is a fresh water plant and will not appreciate an accidental salt water bath.
Tips for the Sea Glass
Sea glass is fascinating something that was once trash, has been turned it into a treasure after being exposed to salt water, waves and sun for an unknown amount of time.
One of my pastimes is to comb the beach looking for sea glass. I have been collecting sea glass my whole life. I have collected so much of it that it has come time for me to let some go.
If you are in the market for some really special sea glass I invite you to send me a message.
The sea glass I have available was all collected in Hawaii on the island of Maui. Mostly on the north shore where I live. After being tumbled in the waves of the Pacific Ocean each piece found is a unique work of art.
